Good afternoon,

We have had a great week settling back into the new routines of school. A huge thank you and well done must be extended to our pupils, they are coping incredibly well with the ‘new normal’. It was also great to see our new F1 children at their taster sessions – looking forward to seeing Bella, Harry P, George, James, Harry H, Freya, Sofia and Florence next week!

These weekly updates may not have as much in as previously because activities are limited, but they will continue, as will emails throughout the week. Communication is really important at all times, but more so now.

We have been asked by the Local Authority to remind parents that the NHS 119 number should be used for anything COVID related. The NHS have seen a huge increase in calls to 111 this week with many being about COVID. Using the correct numbers will allow more people to get through to the right place for help and advice.

The school menu for wc 7^th September is Week 3.

Please make bookings for Earlybirds and Afterschool to office@sturton.notts.sch.uk We currently will not be running any after school clubs, this will be reviewed as the guidance changes over time.

You will soon be receiving letters from class teachers outlining the topics and work for the term. These will also be available on the school website. The calendar on the website includes holiday dates for this year, there is also a copy of the term dates for 2021-22 for your information.

Next Friday we will be starting our weekly Merits again. This will be done via Zoom and parents will be invited to attend (see below). The classes do not meet together for assemblies and worship, so they will be in their classrooms on Zoom. Please join us at 1.15pm for Merits.
