End of half term

15 October 2020 (by head)

Friday 16th October

Good morning,

We have some amazing pumpkins arriving in school for the competition tomorrow, they are all so good! Please make sure that all entries are handed in by 9.00am tomorrow morning. Judging will take place during the day and parents will be able to view them between 3.00-3.15pm. They will be on display in the hall and entry, with a face-covering, will be through the rear hall doors and then exiting back onto the car park. We ask that the hall is clear by 3.15pm so the children can collect pumpkins and also gather for dismissing.

I have had a request from James & Julie Barlow (North Leverton Windmill) as they are planning a virtual event at the windmill and would like to showcase some of the pumpkins. If your child would like theirs to be included, please leave it in school and it will be collected and put on show. However, children are welcome to take theirs home at 3.30pm if they wish, that is not a problem.

Photos are being taken in the morning too, if you have a younger sibling then please arrive between 8.40-9.00am, with face-covering, and photos will be taken in the hall.

Final Merits will take place at 1.15pm, the invite is below:

GSuite

The emails about GSuite have been for information only. Classes 2 & 3 have already been using it and should be OK for logging on. The other classes do not have any work set on them, neither do Classes 2 & 3. The platform is set up and ready if we need to move to part of whole school virtual learning. You should be able to use the logins to check that you get to the correct class area when logged in. Please email if you have any questions.

Finally, thank you once again for your continued cooperation and understanding to the changes in school life. I am really pleased with how the term has gone and want to thank all pupils, staff, parents and Governors for their continued support. We do not know what lies ahead, but we hope that infection rates do fall and some of the restriction measure will be relaxed in time. Stay safe and I hope everyone has a restful half term break.

Regards

Mark
