This week
Good morning,
I hope everyone has had a peaceful Christmas and I would like to wish each and every one of you a Healthy and Happy New Year, hoping that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel in 2021!
School will open as normal on 4th January and will operate in the same safe way as it was during the Autumn term. We continue to do all we can to keep everyone as safe as possible. The concern over the new strain of the virus means that we all need to be extra careful and I ask that parents continue to adhere to social distancing at the start/end of the school day.
You may have heard on the news about mass testing in schools and that is planned to be rolled out in primary schools from mid to late January. I have not received any information about what that will look like and I will keep you fully updated as we go through the term. As ever, if you have any questions at any time about anything, please do not hesitate to contact me wither by email or phone.
The lunch menu is Week 2.
Please make bookings for EarlyBirds and Afterschool to office@sturton.notts.sch.uk .
Merits will take place on Friday as normal and the invite can be found below:

I will update you on PE days early next week (ie indoor/outdoor), the days will remain the same and so PE kits will be needed in school on those days. Dance is the indoor activitiy and so shorts and T shirts will be required. For outdoor PE, school PE kits with leggings and/or joggers are needed, please so not send clothing with large sporting logos. Some outdoor PE will be on the field and so footwear will get muddy.
Parent letters from staff as well as diary dates for the term will come out next week.
Have a good New Year and I look forward to seeing you on Monday.
