This week
Good afternoon,
As we come to the end of the third week of this current lockdown, I want to thank each and every one of you for your patience, understanding and commitment in these difficult times. We have made a few subtle changes to timetables from next week as we have been reviewing how things are going. The timetables in the work packs will reflect these small alterations. The main change is that Worship will now be on a Monday and Tuesday at 10.00am and every other Thursday with Mark Cantrill (10.00am too), with Thursday 28th January being the next one. Merits on a Friday will be at 9.30am (from next week).
Work packs will be available later tomorrow, I will inform you when they are ready. As ever, those children who will be in school on Monday, will have their packs kept in school.
The catering team have changed school menus and made it a two week cycle, here is the small change to the menu:
School menu until half term –
wc 25th January 2021 – Week 2
wc 1st February 2021 – Week 1
wc 8th February 2021 – Week 2
Please note that on Week 2 Thursday, the roast will be Gammon and Week 2 Friday will be breaded fish. There will be no week 3.
The delivery of the Lateral Flow Tests have been delayed. We expect our delivery to be with us on Wednesday 27th January. As I informed you yesterday, these LFTs are for staff and not children. There are no plans to test children using LFTs. The aim of LFT testing is to identify asymptomatic people and break the chain of transmission. It is important for us all to remember that if there is a positive result, the children in the class where that staff member has been working, will be sent home to isolate, this is regardless of being a Critical Worker child.
We look forward to welcoming you to our Merits tomorrow at 2.30pm, here is the invite link:

You may have heard in the media today that Gavin Williamson, Secretary of State for Education, has said that he will give schools and parents two weeks’ notice of reopening. As soon as we hear any news, I will communicate it to you immediately.
Stay safe.
