This week
Good morning,
Well, the 8th March is almost upon us when we begin our journey back to some sort of normality. Along with the Government’s Road Map out of lockdown, we hope that the Summer term will be more like what we’re used to with some of our traditional events taking place again.
Doors open on Monday at 8.40 – 8.55am, school begins for all children with Worship at 9.00am. At the end of the day, children will be dismissed between 3.25 – 3.35pm from the normal exits (carpark – Classes 1 & 2, front door – Class 3 and Foundation as usual). Please adhere to social distancing, particularly whilst waiting to drop off and pick up from Foundation, please wait whilst the line moves along.
School uniform is required as normal and PE will take place:
Foundation Tuesday & Thursday
Class 1 Monday & Thursday
Class 2 Wednesday & Thursday (first lesson on the Thursday so come in PE kit but bring uniform to change into afterwards).
Class 3 Monday & Thursday
Please ensure that they have both outdoor and indoor kit – as the weather improves, shorts should be worn for outdoor PE too.

School swimming will resume (subject to restrictions being lifted) after Easter. All children from F2 to Y6 will swim for part of the time, but this will be confirmed with you later. The swimming takes place at Retford Leisure Centre and is 2.00 – 3.00pm on Friday afternoons.
We all continue to work together to keep everyone safe. Restrictions, although tough, are working and we are all making the sacrifices to stop the spread of the virus. School staff continue to take twice weekly Lateral Flow Tests and families can now access this Lateral Flow testing as seen in the letter sent out yesterday.
Thank you once again for your hard work, patience and support with the remote learning, I truly admire all that you have done.
Have a safe and peaceful weekend and we all look forward to Monday.
Regards
Mark
