This week
Good morning,
I hope you are all well? The cold/flu bug seems to be lessening around school this week, with only a small number of children absent.
Tomorrow (Friday 21st May) ALL Y6 NEED PYJAMAS FOR SWIMMING – LONG SLEEVES & LONG LEGS – this is for their lifesaving assessment.
This week we have seen the children in Foundation & Class 1 and Classes 2 & 3 playing together in their separate playtimes. Next week, we will re-introduce children sitting opposite each other in the dining hall, small steps back to normality.
The Menu is Week 3 and please remember that Tuesday Week 3 dinners have changed to cottage pie or jacket potato. We will assume your child will want cottage pie unless you email office@sturton.notts.sch.uk and request a jacket potato.
When we come back after half term, Tuesday 8th June it will be week 2 and it will be vegan sausage roll and not spaghetti due to no meat delivery.
This week is the final week of this half term, we break up on Friday at 3.30pm.
Friday
We will have Dress Down Friday (non-uniform).
Merits will take place at 1.10pm and the invite will be sent nearer the time.
Class 1 will be hosting a Royal Party on Friday 28th May after merits. It would be great if the children brought something to dress up in… a King, Queen, Prince or Princess outfit, though this is optional and we will all get the chance to make a crown! There will be a variety of royal activities as well as a mini banquet of treats to eat.
Foundation 2, Class2 & 3 will have their final swimming session.
School is closed for INSET on Monday 7th June and will re-open on Tuesday 8th June.
Have a safe and peaceful weekend.
Regards
Mark
