Final week
Good afternoon,
As we approach the end of term and ‘Freedom Day’ on 19th July, we are very aware that many schools have bubbles at home or even the whole school at home. We keep our fingers crossed and continue to be vigilant for symptoms. I have attached the letter that was sent out last week with the arrangements for the events. As you are all aware, the virus is still with us and I ask that people continue to respect social distance when on the school site at events. Mask wearing is not mandatory outside, but some people may choose to wear one.
The lunch menu is Week 2.
We look forward to our new F2’s for September continuing their full-time build up.
Tuesday
Sports Afternoon – children should come to school in PE kit. The gates will open at 1.10pm for parents to make their way to the field. Please see the letter for details of the arrangements – all children are involved.
THERE IS NO AFTERSCHOOL PROVISION ON TUESDAY
Wednesday
The children will spend a morning in their new class groups for September.
Thursday
Celebration Evening 6.30pm (approx. 1 hour). The invitation is to all children and families and is one of our biggest annual events which we were unable to hold last year. This year we will be holding the event outside and seating will be provided. The children should be in school uniform and will sit in their class groups. At the end of the evening the children will be dismissed to parents directly. Please be aware that there is a Car Night at The Reindeer and the road is likely to be very busy.
Friday
Leavers Service 2.00pm. This again is an open invitation to all parents and families. We say our thanks and goodbye’s to our Year 6 group and there are some presentations that take place. It is always a tearful affair, sad but happy and we have three families who end their time as parents of children at Sturton. At the end of the service, children can go home. Otherwise, parents should collect children from between 3.15 – 3.30pm.
The children return to school on Thursday 2nd September.
