This week
Good morning,
It has been lovely to have the children back this week, we look forward to all the events and activities taking place this term.
In the morning there is no Merit Assembly, the children are having class and group photos.
The Foundation children are now not going to visit Church tomorrow.
Swimming is Class 1 & 3. Please email office@sturton.notts.sch.uk by lunchtime if you are collecting from the pool.
The menu for next week (all normal) is Week 3.

Swimming for Class 1 & 3
The children in Year 4 will be taking the Multiplication Times Table Check next week, this is a statutory assessment. Results will be shared with parents.
The children in Year 1 will undertake the Phonics Screening Check, this again is a statutory assessment. Results will be shared with parents.
You will have seen the #SturtonRocks (6th July) posters on the school gate, wristbands are available to purchase from school or The Reindeer - £20 per family (2 adults & 2 children), £8 adult, £4 child (under 16) and children under 5 are free.
Could I ask that trophies from last year’s Celebration Evening start to be returned this week, we are starting to think about nominations for this year. It is the trophies and cups that need to be returned, not the plaques and medals.
Looking ahead:
Details for the Foundation and Class 1 trip to Butterfly World will be coming out soon, however, it is important to note that should any Foundation 1 parents choose for their children not to attend, there will be no option of attending school on that day as all staff will be on the trip.
Have a lovely weekend.
Regards
Mark
