Good morning, I hope you have all had a good Bank Holiday and week. School is closed tomorrow (Monday) for INSET, we reopen on Tuesday. Clubs for the week: Tuesday Choir (lunchtime) Wednesday Gardening Club (Amos, Harvey, Lucy, Madison, Jessica H, Sam) Girls Summer Sport Club with Miss Rowbottom – Y2 to Y6 girls Thursday Lights, Camera, Act Hi 5 Girls (lunchtime) Kick Boxing The Club on Wednesday is for girls only and will be a mix of summer sports and athletics. Please speak to Miss Rowbottom if you have any questions. Guitar and trumpet are as normal on Tuesday. Violin is on Thursday. Music tuition – please ensure letters are returned this week for children who are continuing music lessons next year or want to start in September. PE is on Thursday – please remember that children should be wearing shorts for outdoor PE. Shorts should be dark blue or black and T shirts should be white or school blue. T shirts with logos or patterns should not be worn. Swimming continues as normal on Friday. The annual swimming gala takes place on Saturday at Retford from 5.00pm to 6.00pm. Please arrive by 4.45pm at the pool. During the holidays we have had a small amount of work done in school, the sandpit in the Foundation Unit has had new tops/edges fitted that eliminate the chance of fingers getting trapped. The climbing wall has also had the wooden panels replaced. Some of them were beginning to split. Both pieces of equipment are very well used and are checked regularly for safety. See you on Tuesday.
