Good afternoon, Thank you for your support at Sports yesterday, I hope you enjoyed the events. Gardening Club is on Wednesday for the final time this year. The children have heard this week about the Nottinghamshire libraries Summer Reading Challenge – www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/summerreadingchallenge , please follow the link to find out more. On Monday afternoon at 2.45pm, the parents of children moving into Year 1 are invited to meet Miss Davies. Myself and Mrs. Ledsham will also be present. The meeting will be over by the end of the day. On Tuesday afternoon, the children in Class 3 will be having a talk about the use of Social Media by Mule Marketing. Parents are invited to come along at 3.30pm to hear tips and advice on keeping children safe online. Parents of any children are welcome to this meeting – not only Class 3. The Year 6 trip to London takes place on Wednesday. The Celebration Evening is on Thursday at 6.30pm in the village hall. At this event, there are awards for children from F2 to Year 6. F1 children and their parents are more than welcome to attend. The evening starts with some musical performances before the awards begin. We have visitors and Governors to present the awards. This is a highlight in the year and a chance to celebrate all that is good about the children of Sturton Primary. Friday evening sees the popular Family BBQ & Sports evening. This runs from 5 – 7.00pm on the school field. Hotdogs and burgers will be available to purchase. You are welcome to bring your own drinks and/or picnic. Sports equipment will be out for games of rounders, tennis, basketball etc. Everyone is welcome, including family and friends. Have a good weekend. Mark Elliott
