Thursday – Classes 2 & 3 are visiting the National Mining Museum. Children should be at school by 8.30am, we return for 4.15pm approx. CLOTHING – jeans/strong trousers and strong footwear. Uniform should be worn on top (T shirt/sweatshirt/cardigan etc). The children will be travelling down the mine and they can get dirty. It is cold, so a warm coat is essential.
Friday – The children in Foundation 2 will be going on a trip to Lynx Blackbelt Academy in Retford for a Ninja Tots session. School PE kit (joggers) should be worn. Mrs. Leadsham and I will be taking the children in the school minibus. We will be back for lunch as normal. Unless I hear otherwise, I will assume you give permission for your child to attend.
Attendance rates:
Foundation 2 100%
Class 1 93%
Class 2 84.6%
Class 3 100%
Swimming is Y1, 5 & 6.
End of the day – Can parents of children in Classes1, 2 & 3 please wait on the playground to collect children. The class teachers dismiss onto the playground and cannot see the gate because of the Foundation Unit shed. We also need to keep the area around the gate uncrowded for the safety of all.
I have attached a letter about two events on Wednesday 8th June. As it is the official week of the Queen’s birthday we are focussing our learning on British Values. WE are also holding a ‘mock wedding’ in Church as part of the RE curriculum. Please read the attached letter. A paper copy is coming home today.
We break up for the May half on Friday. School is closed for INSET on Monday 6th June, with children returning on Tuesday 7th June.
