The children will be working in mixed groups across school this week as we concentrate on British Values through the celebration of the Queen’s 90th birthday.
Wednesday – at 11.00am we will be holding the ‘mock wedding’ in Church. Parents are welcome to attend this event, please arrive by 10.50am. In the afternoon we will be holding the Royal Afternoon Tea at 2.30pm. The Deputy Lord Lieutenant for Nottinghamshire will be visiting school during the afternoon and will talk to all the children about the Queen. Parents are welcome to come along at 2.30pm as the children have their afternoon tea and the celebration balloons are released at 3.00pm. If you have any questions over clothing for the wedding, food for the afternoon tea or anything else, please speak to class teachers.
CHILDREN IN FOUNDATION 1 CAN BE IN SCHOOL ALL DAY ON WEDNESDAY FOR THE ABOVE EVENTS.
Thursday – the children in Y4 will be heading off to Nottingham for the Tennis Festival. We will depart school at 7.45am prompt. Packed lunch, school PE kit (including hoody or sweatshirt), drink, sun-cream and a hat should be brought. We are hoping to be back for 3.30pm.
Music tuition – all requests for music tuition next year should have been received. We assume that those who have not returned, do not wish to continue.
