This week
Good afternoon,
The children have settled back into the school routine very quickly. They are enjoying using the new facilities which have already had a huge impact on how school operates. It was great to show so many parents around this week, if you have not seen the new facilities, please pop in and have a look.
EarlyBirds – please ensure that booking forms are completed and submitted by Friday at 9.00am for the following week’s requirements. Emails will not be accepted. The letter and booking forms are available on the school website and from the school office. We only staff the club if there is a need.
Guitar lessons start on Tuesday, please have guitars in school if you play your own.
Breaktime fruit – as you know, the children in Foundation and KS1 are provided with fruit for breaktime. We are unable to provide fruit for all children. We have noticed this week that particularly the new Year 3 children have been hungry midway through the morning. All children are welcome to bring a piece of fruit for breaktime. We have also provided all children with new water bottles and these are sterilised on a weekly basis.
Clubs for the week:
Monday Pupil Voice Committee (4.15pm)
Wednesday Football Y4, 5 & 6 (4.30pm)
Thursday Hi 5 (lunchtime)
PE kits required:
Monday Foundation 2
Wednesday Class 1
Thursday All classes
Friday Class 2 & 3
Children in KS2 will be having nutrition lessons on a Friday for the next 6 weeks. These will be provided by Kate Hayes a trained child nutrition expert. This forms part of the curriculum related to health and well-being, which runs alongside our PE provision.
On Fridays, parents are welcome to attend our Merits assembly, this starts at 9.00am and lasts for about 20 minutes, we hope to see you there.
Have a good weekend.
